About the foundation

Alice Wangeci Foundation is a community-based, non-profit organization founded on 23 May 2025 in Nakuru County, Kenya. We work to improve the lives of women, girls, youth, persons with disabilities, older persons, and vulnerable families through practical skills, dignity, protection, and economic empowerment.

Vision

A society where every woman, girl, youth, and person with disability enjoys equal opportunities, dignity, safety, and sustainable livelihoods.

Mission

To empower vulnerable communities through skills development, disability inclusion, education, health, leadership, and strategic partnerships.

The Challenge

  • ✓ Many women and young people face unemployment and limited access to practical skills.
  • ✓ Girls continue to face menstrual health challenges that affect education and confidence.
  • ✓ Persons with disabilities often lack mobility equipment, therapy, employment opportunities, and inclusion.
  • ✓ Children living in vulnerable households require educational and psychosocial support.

These challenges inspired the establishment of Alice Wangeci Foundation.
